We attend trade shows and we host half-day educational seminars throughout Eastern Ontario.

Our half-day sessions cover topics of interest. We usually invite industry experts to talk with you. We also bring along new products so that you can see and touch the latest and greatest in playground, aquatic (minus the water!), and fitness equipment.

February 17, 2012

On February 17, 2012 we will be holding an Educational Symposium. This will be a full day event featuring discussions from many suppliers in the playground industry.

Presentations will be from Waterplay, Little Tikes, Miracle, Sofsurfaces, Dynamo, Trekfit, Greenwalk Solutions, and Sports Systems Canada.

This is shaping up to be a well attended event. We look forward to seeing you there.

Planning Playgrounds for Tomorrow — with Today in Mind

On April 9 and 10, 2008, we held half-day educational seminars in Ottawa and Kingston. Our guests heard from the following featured experts.

Chad Morningstar

Chad Morningstar is the National Sales Manager for SofSURFACES Inc. and has been involved in the playground industry for over a decade. As a company director and front line employee, Chad has a wealth of experience as it relates to playground safety surfacing. SofSURFACES was named one of the top 100 fastest growing companies in Canada in 2007 and is a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of playground safety tiles. SoftSURFACES is currently the largest manufacturer of rubber safety tiles in North America and is proud to offer the industry’s most comprehensive product warranty. Chad’s presentation was entitled, “Unitary Safety Surfacing Considerations.”

Peter Kells

Peter Kells is an accomplished industrial designer. He is involved with the writing of CSA Playground Standards and is a principal instructor at the Ontario Playground Academy. Peter is an executive member of IPA Canada and has been involved in the design and evaluation of playgrounds for 25 years. Peter’s presentation was entitled, “Safety Surfaces: Get Current on Changes to CAN/CSA Z614-07.”

PlayPower

PlayPower is the mother company to such well known brands as Little Tikes and Miracle Recreation. With more than 10,000 play structure installations, you’ll find PlayPower in schools, municipalities, daycares, and more. PlayPower’s presentation was entitled, “New Equipment for Today’s Young and Young-at-Heart.”

Waterplay

Kelowna-based Waterplay is the leader in water play park manufacturing and design since 1987. They have completed more than 1400 water play parks around the world, creating millions of smiles. Waterplay’s presentation was entitled, “Why Waterplay, Water Management Solutions, Safety, Accessibility, and Waterplay’s Interactive Water Toys for Your Parks.”
